Care & Connection
The Care and Connection Program of the Church of the Nazarene
Is a network of personal connections between missionaries and Nazarenes around the world. Missionaries are assigned to districts and, then on the district level, connected to local churches. This gives each church an opportunity to become personally acquainted with the missionary family and their field of service. Typically, churches send cards, cash gifts, packages, and other remembrances to their Care & Connections Missionaries.
In return, the churches feel a sense of involvement with the global mission enterprise of the church through regular correspondence from the missionaries, updates from their field, and even through deputation services while the missionaries are on home assignment. The missionaries are encouraged, knowing people care and pray for them. The relationships built over time personalize names and faces that both the missionaries and their Care & Connecti​ons churches value highly.

What was once called LINKS is now Care and Connection
​We are so excited to embark on this new journey of Care and Connection of missionariesandco-labor with them in our prayers, love, and giving.
Please help us to love and care for our missionaries including our new Global MissionaryDanielle Miller. We praise God for the work they are all doing for God’s glory.

With the change of Care and Connections running with the Calendar year, we are refocusingour efforts to bless our missionaries while blessing them even more.

Your new list is up and running and as you can see, we have stopped separating C&C from ourChristmas offering and are combining the two. You will only have one amount to send as yourcare and connection giving.

Participating missionaries are assigned to districts to help foster a personal connectionbetween missionaries and the local church. Greetings NMI Presidents, Pastors and Virginia District Churches,

We are excited to announce our new Care and Connections / LINKS missionaries for 2025 (January – December). If you are new to the church, you may wonder what Care and Connections actually means. Links is a network of personal connections between missionaries and Nazarene districts around the world.
Each church has been assigned one missionary to build a relationship with, to pray for, and encourage throughout the new year. Please see the attached document for your church assignment, information on each missionary, how to give, and photos. By learning more about each other, your local church and Links family will feel more connected. Share life together, pray for each other, communicate as often as possible, give as you feel moved by the Holy Spirit, and schedule a time to connect over video on when they are on home assignment.
If an individual, church, or district would like to show love to a Links-assigned missionary through giving, please follow these guidelines.

Sending physical letters or packages are discouraged unless the missionary has a specific need and requests the items be shipped. Districts and churches are encouraged to coordinate with missionaries when they are on home assignment rather than shipping items to their country of service. Physical package can have very expensive duties that the missionary has to pay when receiving your package. Please always ask the missionary before you mail anything.

When giving a financial gift, there are multiple ways to send it in.

Please do not give a missionary a cash or personal check offering. That is still taxable income for a missionary, and you would need to provide a 1099 tax form to assist the missionary in their end-of-year taxes.
